BTW ... I have no idea what 'voodoo rock' is, but I always enjoyed Dr. John and his big band ... Saw him at the Newport Jazz Festival ... he really rocked the place ... another year he had to cancel late because of health reasons ...

In the 60's I would ride my little Cushman scooter from Biloxi to New Orleans. I'd stand outside clubs and hear the music (too young to get in). Dr. John was one of my favorites. Tried many times to meet him, but it never happened.

He made a significant, and deeply appreciated contribution to American music.

He's about the only doctor I won't see this month. Already did the eye surgeon, and the dermatologist. Still have the cardiologist and the infectious disease docs to go, plus my general doc for checkup. I guess that's just in case any of the other doctors miss something. smile
I have been a big fan of Dr. John for a long time. I wish I had taken time to see him in action live. May he rest in peace.
