Donny, I think I bought that mixer from you! I still use it all the time too.

I'll try to find some pics, but I still haven't found what I'm looking as far as my "perfect" rig.... It always seems to be a work in progress!

Certainly my favorite mixer for sure also
(I love #23 FX) setting for my vocals too
I have many picture of setups thru the years
but since no one except you have any interest in the OP I'll refrain.

patience, Donny, patience ...
My current rig - KORG Pa900, Senn mic plugged into on-board VH, Pro12 Tablet, connected by midi to onboard 'Songbook', giving me immediate charts when needed and KB set-up.
Mic and tablet holder mounted into the 'tubes' of the quik-lok x stand.
Works for me

PS If I come across some of my older set-ups I will post them ...

Tony Nice setup although the
Single brace Xstand vs a double always makes me weary..
as does that long mic plug...
I'd worry if someone would bang into it eek2
Thanx for sharing.

grin ... I knew it would, but I don't play like Jerry Lee, and I'm pretty quick if some 'unsteady' approaches me ...

PS ... I'm not sure why the photo didn't show, just the link ... I went through the 'File Manager' ...

Is that a home rig or gig rig?

Re: Lets See Your favorite KB Rigs... - 04/18/19 09:02 PM

Strictly a home rig. If I go out again...it will be with guitar, vocals, and backing tracks.
One machine I wish I hadn’t sold:

Re: Lets See Your favorite KB Rigs... - 04/19/19 09:09 AM

I figured I would shoot a down and dirty, quick video of the rig in my office, which is a real mess right now because all the boat stuff is stored there, too. The vid is a bit shaky, but so is the old fart that shot it.

This comes pretty close to perfect rig, for a home studio.

Currently i am very happy with my MODX8 and Genos setup.
Altough, i would trade it in yesterday for an 88 key Genos
And then expand from there with modules and software.

Hi Tony

Are you using a tablet holder from quik lok or another brand? I'd be curious to see other pics with different angles of your tablet holder set up if you get the chance.

Thanks

what are you up to now musically?

Re: Lets See Your favorite KB Rigs... - 04/23/19 08:53 AM

Hi Donny

Still doing small gigs 2-3 a month. I've been using my TC Helicon Sing Thing for a while along with a tablet for backing tracks, super compact the whole rig weighs in at 6kg including a stand for the tablet. For larger gigs I use the Sing Thing along with a pair of Maui5's.

This is my favorite rig singer

I just acquired a PA900 to try using the onboard speakers for my small gigs. I'm just in the midst of sorting the songbook, should be ready in a week to ten days then we'll see. It's been a while since I used a keyboard and sang, fingers crossed. I might try knocking up a couple of videos with the PA900, we'll see.

Regards, Col

Look forward to those videos also.

Re: Lets See Your favorite KB Rigs... - 04/26/19 06:13 AM

Mel although that's a real nice setup it's
but also alot to haul for just a 1 hr NH gig imo....
with all the cabinet angles the Bose S1 offers
why not eliminate carrying the stands and
just floor the speakers angled up?
Do you sing also, I don't see a Mic or boom?..
PS: & that "single braced" Xstand scares the crap out of me
....sorry.

good luck and thanx for sharing.

Re: Lets See Your favorite KB Rigs... - 04/26/19 06:40 AM

I SING AND USE A SHURE WH20 MIC PLUGGED INTO KEYBOARD IT'S HANGING ON THE I PAD IN THE PIC AND AS FOR THE STANDS NO THEY ARE NOT NEEDED HERE IF YOU NOTICED I AM SURRONDED BY GLASS AND WALLS LIKE A CAVE SO THEY HELP TO GET THE SOUND OUTFRONT WITHOUT
ALL THE ECHO THAT YOU CAN GET IN A CAVE LIKE THIS. THE STAND HAS A DEADBOLT LOCK BUILT IN SO NO WORRYS THERE. BY THE WAY THE STANDS ARE THE MINI SIZE AND THEY BOTH FIT IN THE BOSE COMPACT EXTENTSION BAG AND THEY ARE VERY LIGHT.
MEL P.S. SORRY THE CAP LOCK WAS ON.

Mel thanx for the explanation,.....
I am sure it sounds great with the Bose S1.
Keep making them happy out there. keys

The styles on the WK4 wasn't that great but you could get a big sound on the right 16 sounds to a layer.
