Thanks Fran!
Maybe a dumb question, but just hoping here... Does the E-A7 allow you to play songs and styles simultaneously, and somehow toggle between them? Or use a recorded MIDI to drive the chord changes??

[OT, I once did this with two Arrangers MIDI'd together. Worked just fine, but this isn't the '80s, and my days of multiple keyboards stacked high in the living room are over. Despite having dual sequencers, I don't believe Korg ever implemented this functionality. Yamahas can almost do it. You can start a song and style simultaneously, and if the song has XG chords it will drive the selected style. But once you press a key in the chord section, then you have to play all the chords yourself for the remainder of the song frown ]

Seems like a missed opportunity IMO.

Ted in a manner of speaking it does... If the player is not too lazy grin

Since you can play pad phrases and SMF's together , you can achieve the same results... even better results..

By recording style parts as phrases (1 bar looped.) You can play six pads at any time, synced with a SMF or style.

The SMF will display the chord progression, so you can play the changes to change the pads.
You can also sample a vocal sound and save as a user tone.. then use as pads (tones). Very useful.
