Sad Happy Song - 03/23/19 02:52 PM

Vince Gill did this song and I love it. I'm getting old and will die sooner than later. Hope it's later, but I'm personally convinced that won't be the end.
Hope you like it.

Wow, something a little different from our Southern Gentleman with what I thought I heard to be synth strings in the background? ...
Great job with a beautiful sentiment ... Would love to be with you resting high on that mountain Don, thank you ...

Don, for me that was one of your best. The feeling and emotions were very high. And I love what your wrote.
But I got new for you, YOU’RE TO TOUGH TO LEAVE SOON, you have a lot more coming.

Joy for my friend, John C.

I was a bit blind-sided by that one, Don. It's been a while since I heard it or one similar. Just don't rush things... if you get my drift. Vince Gill is almost as good as our Mr. Mason! LOL!

Enjoyed.

Thank you so much Don for this beautiful song about the love of our Father and the Son and our short life in this troubled world. I saved it on my box to be included on my praise/worship songs.

Thank you guys. The song has become very special to me. I was asked to do it at the funeral of a close friend. I knew I couldn't get through it without breaking up so they let me play a recording of it instead.
I appreciate all the great responses.

Thanks! I recorded it live on the Korg PA4X.
I'm glad it is inspiring to some. It is to me.

Don, I don’t know how you do it...but the recording has the sound of a polished studio track. The bass sits nice in the bottom of the track and the overall EQ sounds smooth and natural.

What are you using for a recorder? The mic sounds very smooth...what are you using?

Overall...your setup sounds great. You sure you didn’t sneak up to Muscle Shoals?

I simply run the PA4X into my mixer, then from a stereo output from the mixer to Tascam DR05.
Everything, including vocal is e.q.d on the keyboard.
I record it in WAV format, then put it in Audacity and Normalize it. Then export it as an MP3 file, 320 size.
Thank you, and I'm glad you liked it!
