Where in the Hell is Chas? - 02/21/19 03:43 PM

Kinda worried about Chas. He hasn't posted in quite some time, I tried calling him at home and just got his answering machine. Us old codgers are dropping like flies - hope he didn't check out on us without advance notice. wink

Gary,

I can’t answer your question and not sure what age you have to be to qualify as an old codger? But I will say this in high school I had 5 lifelong friends who were all interested in radio and electronics. Out of the 5 there are 2 of us left, no one made it past 69 years of age, the most recent death happened this week, one was last October one guy in particular never made it past 60 he died about 10 years ago.

I have always had close friends. All ten are now gone. I stayed with four of them until their last day. This is life. I’ve have been blessed.

I am now working on creating more of friends; all you have to do is to
honor them and put yourself aside.

Gary: I "second your motion" about Chas. He has been "off-line" (at least at the Arranger Zone) for a long time. I'm a year behind Willie Nelson and can only list lifelong friends on one digit. That is part of the attractions of this forum... finding folks with similar interests. I hope Chas is okay but have learned to be concerned about absences.

Russ has been unable to contact him for a few weeks.

Don't like to think about it, but Chas told me he put me on his contact list.

I take that to mean he is taking some quiet "adjustment" time.
He has had some issues, but he is controlling them and does not want to complain or be a bother to anyone.

He knows I would be there withing 5 hours if he needs me.

Now, Mason's a DIFFERENT story...

I reached out to chas today, and fortunately he answered me ... he sends his regards and asked me to tell you all that he is doing ok, just taking some time away from S-Z to address some personal things.
He appreciates everyone's concern and good wishes ...

Glad to hear he's OK, but sad he's not here with the zoners.
