OT, Winter Weather crisis

OT, Winter Weather crisis - 01/07/19 10:29 AM

We had a power outage at our house this morning and my PC, laptop, TV, DVD, cordless phones & my new surround sound music system were all shut down.

Checked and ramps had ice.

Then I discovered that my iPad and iPhone batteries were flat and to top it off it was raining outside, so I couldn't cut the grass.

I went into the kitchen to make coffee and then I remembered that this also needs power, so I sat and talked with my wife for a while.

She seems like a nice person.

Don, I just love the way you tell your stories. smile laugh
Hopefully you're powered up again, ready to coffee and music.

Donny:

Mason don't need no stinkin' new keyboard. He has a warehouse full of em! LOL! I hope the weather we sent him has gone east or north. We Southerners get a bit spoiled by all the good weather we seem to have during Winter. Our summers are something else, though.

I saw a couple of snippets about the CES Show in Vegas on mainstream news earlier... but alas, nothing regarding keyboards.

It actually snowed here, this morning, at about 6:30 a.m., though within 30 minutes after it started, a warm breeze from the south melted it away in less than 15 minute. It was a warning shot from Mother Nature. The weather forecasters are calling for about 6 inches of wet snow this weekend. It'll probably be about 60 degrees at Don Masons place this weekend and by Sunday, he'll be swinging a golf club while wearing a short sleeve shirt and shorts.

Damned I hate winter in the People's Republic of Maryland!

It has been over 70 the past two days, but I've had a terrible cold and today my wife was sick with stomach flu of some kind. Maybe golf tomorrow.
DNJ, I'm not in the market for a keyboard.

.... and I hate it here in Norway or wherever the cold white slippery stuff they call snow and ice shows up.
It must have something to do with aging. Was not like that some years ago..... confused

True words, Gunnar:

The few times we were able to land at Adak, Alaska (out in the Aluetians) the snow and cold did not bother me that much... but I was in my 20's. Age must modify our metabolism and coping mechanisms with cold weather. I'll bet Norway is even colder.

On most of our 20 hour patrol flights, we would just turn around and head back to Midway Island.

Seems so long ago.
