to Ernest's Tonight. It's the place I work and the motto is "serving the Finest". It's a song I wrote some years ago. This version was one I played Saturday night on Roland EA7.

Great playing, amazing how you make the lead instruments sound so authentic. E-A7 sounds great too. Interesting choice on the minor tonality, gives a mysterious flavor.

clap.... fantastic job Don as always as you know all roads lead back to Roland great sounds and Superior styles, .... one of my favorite times in my musical career was playing at Ernest restaurant alongside you a few years ago on the stage... The music and food is unparalleled anywhere. They Ea7 has flown under the radar for a long time and pros a like are finding out how really good it can sound in the hands of a professional player. If you are ever in the area make sure you check out Ernest's restaurant you won't be sorry.

It's about time you come back Donny. Got some marinated crab claws waiting on you!
My wife Susan is cooking gumbo right now, and we have a fire in the fireplace. Making the best of this nasty weather. It's above freezing and it's a good thing because we would be covered in ice if it fell a few degrees.

Well I suppose warm is a variable term. It is 44, windy and raining. Got six inches in the past two days already.
You are always welcome, but I would wait a few days until our real weather returns! smile

+1
to all the good comments above, and personally, I love this 'slow laidback' rumba style of music.
Yet another 'hit' added to my very special DonM Collection. Tnx. bow

Been there... but... Mason was not performing that evening. This one goes in my Don Mason Collection. For a "commercial" this recording could go "viral." Curtain call!

Still sounding good, Don, despite your declining years. wink Just kiddin', of course. Sure wish I could hop aboard a plane and head to your neighborhood, even for just a long weekend. Today's high here in the People's Republic of Maryland was a brisk 32 degrees. Gonna get a heat wave by tomorrow, though, rainy and 40 - YUCK! smile

All the best,

Gary cool

Many people come to where I play. Most of them are satisfied, but many are often half-listening, dining, drinking, visiting...and they are supposed to be doing that.
The kind comments of my peers and friends here far outweigh any accolades that those people could give me.
My sincere thanks. Merry Christmas to all.

Don, I hope Ernest paid you for that one ... Great job as usual ...
I've said it before ... I was thrilled to perform with you at Ernest's, and you are one of the people on this board I would pay to see perform ...

Why is Don Mason so well liked? Unlike myself who studies and tries to perfect, I feel that Don doesn’t have to do all that. He is who he is if he is playing, singing, dealing with people, or just hanging. You cannot learn that, it must come naturally.

So, here’s cheers to his Mom and Pop, they did one good job.

My comment are sincere, John C.
