KORG PA1000 FANS - 10/21/18 05:11 AM

It's good to know i'm not the only one who loves the pa1000. So many people bash keyboards without even hearing them live or trying them
live. It can't be great if it is now TOTL. It's a super light, work horse that does everything I need to have to perform anywhere. That's why I love it. The speakers are awesome also.

Mel I know navagationaly it's impressive for live play to a point but, how does it compare sound wise to the older Pa900 since you have both in your opinion....I have heard different opinions on that.

iT IS A DIFFERNT BEAST. The 900 seems louder and fuller at first
but I noticed some of the sounds on the 1000 did not sound as full like vibes, marimba trumpets and a few others. I replaced those with the same legacy sound and the sounds cam back to life. I don't know why but it seems some of the older sounds we hotter {louder and fuller}. everything else seems better. I think when I copied my 900 performances to the 1000 it selected a gm sound because the 900 sound was not in the same place as the 1000. Almost everything else copied perfectly.
It also has a much better H.C. Helicon harmonizer, speakers and many other little things. It just sounds better but like everything else, it takes a little work. The result is a great lightweight keyboard that needs nothing but a little effort to
become great.

Mel good luck with your Pa1000...& for the help when i needed it when I owned one also appreciate it. As with ALL keyboards you MUST do your homework and dig in DEEP if your serious about your sound and don't want to be dictated by the factory to use what the give you just to start out with...once done if you know how the rest will be bliss and you and your audiences will certainly appreciate your efforts..

take care
