Saving mods to registrations multiple brands - 10/19/18 10:16 AM
I am told Yamaha procedures for saving modifications to registrations have not changed and still involve up to 7 steps (memory- reg#- exit bank- yes- save- ok- yes).
To save a minor change, say tempo, in a registration, how many steps/ buttons have to be pushed on Korg Pa series? Ketron SD series? Roland BK series?

On Ketron SD90:
1 - Load original registration.
2 - Make the change.
3 - Touch "Save."
4 - You will get a prompt to replace existing Registration. Select OK - Done.
You could also save as a new registration (vs. replacing existing) if desired.
Simple!

To change tempo, Korg PA songbook:
Touch Songbook, touch Write, touch Save.
I will ask "are you sure", touch Yes, and it is done.
You can change lyrics, change any or all lead voice assignments, change style, etc., just that easily.

Don, Sounds basically the same as Ketron - Surprised to see all the steps on Yamaha. Gotta say I've never played/seen one so what the hell do I know?

So why, instead of just adding functions and deepening complexity, hasn't Yamaha streamlined some of its o/s like this with a simple save and confirm action? I am surprised its the same as 10 or more years ago.
