Your KORG Pa4x WISH List ?? - 09/19/18 07:49 AM

So the KORG Pa4x has been out for a while now .....
what's on your WISH List for KORG Pa5x which won't be that far away to update and improve it even further?
Your thoughts And WHY you think KORG needs to implement these new features?

I've always got the impression that PA4X(76) is just PERFECT.
That's why it's at the top of my 'what to add' wishlist.. blush

Well, perhaps for one's particular needs it might be ...
Just sayin' ... wink

I don't think there ever COULD be an arranger that's perfect for everyone ...

They need to redo the endings on many of the styles. Too many of them end abruptly, no riff, no sustain. There is a long list of wishes on the Korg Forum.
That's actually the only thing I can think of. They got most of it right, at least for me.

Yea Don I forgot about some of the quirky style endings and lagging parts after they stop weird..a rework of all their styles is critical for sure...hope your enjoying your Ketron SD7

Arm record is a feature use in Digital Audio Workstation Software. You arm record a channel which will wait until a key is pressed before recording is started. Something simualar would be a useful addition on Korg.

For me, my PA4X was an excellent keyboard to gig with. Korg got a lot of things right.

However, a couple of things got me to go back to Yamaha.

1. Traditional country/traditional styles...smoother on Yamaha.

2. Steel guitars and other country guitars, which I use a lot. Yamaha is, by far, the best.

3. Yamaha’s multipad human vocal backup sounds...just awesome.

When I got my GENOS, I still owned my PA4X and my Yamaha S970. I thought about keeping my PA4X but it sold. Also easier to use my S970 as a backup to my Genos.

Anyone who owns(or has owned) a PA4X, will, most likely, tell you it’s a great keyboard.

How about

88 keys
Many elements of kronos soundengine incorporated in the engine of the pa4x/pa5x
Atleast 4 assignable knobs... including all kaoss parameters
Karma or another form of advanced arps
Integration with the ipad gadget app
Atleast 8 multipads
Daw integration
A usb audio interface..
So,ething akin to ketrons launchpads..

Money wise and for profit purposes I doubt KORG would include most of what you suggest especially a 88 key version when they already have a 76....they are concerned about the mass user and how profit can be made with just enough inside to bait the buyer to wet his appetite so they will yearn to buy the next Pa6x, Pa7x or something else totally new, etc,...it's all about making money....but anyway keep dreaming...I'd say since Styles dominate arranger kbs Don mason hit it right on the head to improve their style quality meaning endings, fills, quirks, etc, first.

Style quality is fine, other than some of the endings. I prefer the Country styles to Yamaha's.

Much lighter, smaller footprint, compact build. Larger screen for lyrics display, Improved fills, intelligent real time tempo adjusting based on player playing (more expressive), smf chords guess (like Roland's), assignable KAOSS functions on knobs/sliders, audio based styles (like Ketron), KARMA-like functions on styles.

Just maybe KORG will discontinue Pa series TOTL and go in another direction as Yamaha did with the new Genos line of arrangers.....
could be Pa4x is the last in the run...we'll see...
it's time for change especially while the older baby boomer home organ players are still alive.. cool2 .
