Yamaha S970 Peter Baartmans - 08/12/18 06:50 AM

headphone

Great S970 demo showing off so many features including vocals & VH2
every demo cannot be studio produced...Peter really shows off the great qualities of the S970 in so many ways.

Terrible demo... the sound in this type of venue will always be poor..

Gyms and all purpose rooms with hard floors and high ceilings equal bad sound control.

Did you ever wonder why people keep changing their opinions about which keyboard is best for them? Well the keyboard that They didn’t want now has become the best one to have. Has the keyboard in question change? No, we have.

Am I talking about Donny? Yes, and me too, and many others here. We change because our lives have changed.
I was going to send Donny a PM message when he moved to Yamaha. He had a Korg and now its Yamaha. I felt like doing the same thing; selling my Pa4x and buying a Yamaha S975/S970, I did that before, the very same thing.

I still have a very strong desire to play out. I am at he gym 5 days a week hoping to get stronger so I can lift the Pa4x without paying a price. I have decided that playing has to be put on the back burner. I need to think of myself as a home player; and that’s OK. So why sell a Pa4x to buy a S975? Because I believe that a Pa4x is by far the best keyboard for playing out – it more than covers my every need. The Pa4x is strong, it drives so much it is hard to sit still.
My needs are different now so may be changing to Yamaha. Yamaha does not drive as much, has great instrument sounds, the support and styles seem limitless. It sounds like I’ll have more fun. Is it just something you need to keep you busy? Let’s not go there.

Just sharing, John C.

Good luck John with your health first and you change to Yamaha you cant go wrong,...and no shame in just playing at home keeping yourself busy musically it strengthens the mind also,...we've all had our times in life playing but sometimes you just have to play for yourself making the magic of music heal all wounds and pass the baton to the next generation,.....
good luck to you my friend keys

Not sure how it was recorded, but ,obviously, it was not recorded directly from the outputs into a mixer then a digital recorder. That said, he clearly demonstrated the wonderful features of this amazing arranger keyboard and just how versatile it can be in the hands of a pro player.

Maybe the problem was the Bose.. shocked

Actually I would not be surprised if it was recorded with a cell phone.. even "S" sounds when he speaks is annoying..

No matter how it was recorded the S970 still sounds fantastic and shows it's dexterity and flexibility to cover any situation brilliantly...... and the addition of the live knobs make it all the more better for the Live Player, .... I'm sure Many agree.
