Besame Mucho - Korg Pa4x Jazz & Strat DNC Guitars

Besame Mucho - Korg Pa4x Jazz & Strat DNC Guitars - 08/11/18 04:41 PM

A short rendition of Besame Mucho featuring factory Jazz and Strat guitars (Pa4x). The only thing I changed was the zone setting for Strat. I limited it in the lower register as the Jazz guitar has enough Bass on its own.

Very good player but with all due respect that can be playing on a MOTIF or any other workstation, maybe you can add that style section to your future videos? it might sway more Yamaha past owners to the PA4X smile

Yes it can also be played on the motif and on other workstations, but then pa4x can do this to and so much more?

Personally i like how using the arranger in all its simplicity as just 2 layered sounds shows the quallity of the PA4x..

Nice presentation thank you so much for sharing very refreshing. clap
it shows you always DON'T need a style acomp which many are addicted too. The expressiveness of the guitars are outstanding.

You don't need a style if you can play left hand bass like that, while playing lead. I can't and that's why I use an arranger style.

I would of like to hear the same song with a left hand acoustic bass gives it a jazz feel...

Donny, just fire up your S970, select the JazzClub style, use the "A" variation, turn off the style's piano and guitar, then select the #1 OTS and you'll nail it. Sounds great - I just tried it on the S-950.

Thank you everybody. Glad you liked!

I tried it with a Bass but then I thought it'd be better to keep it Guitars only because this Jazz Guitar sound is nice and strong in the lower register and pretty capable of handling the bass. I guess I wanted to keep it as small as possible. The Strat adds some sparkle to the overall tone.

Thank you Vangelis. I gotta disagree with you on that. I've played Motif and many other synths/workstations in the past and that's not how it works at all! Each synth has their own unique programmings and require different techniques. You can get away with Piano patches, but definitely not with Guitars. In order to do a half decent job, you have to adapt and change your playing style with each board. This even applies to different keyboards from the same company.

Also, the purpose of this video was to showcase these two Guitar presets. You can use a Style but it'll mask some of those details and subtle nuances....which again it would defeat the purpose of this particular recording. For a rock performance, I would totally use a Style.

Also, I have complete control over harmonic and melodic progressions this way. With Styles you can't do that. With or without manual bass, the Pa4x still does its own thing so you have to compromise.
