BK9 and Karafun2 - 07/15/18 05:52 AM

I signed on Karafun2 monthly service.. It is a great on line streaming karaoke site... with features I have not seen with other sites..

Testing out my BK9, I decided to try some recording methods..

I opened Karafun2 on my cell phone... selected a karaoke tune...

Ran the phone output into the BK9 inputs.

Set up the BK9 mic and effects, set volume levels and record modes..

Selected my realtime parts to play over the karaoke file..

Start to record.... flawless recording as a wave to the USB drive.. Ready to burn on a CD.

Vocals ,keyboard, and streaming Karaoke recorded..

Every day... I like this BK9 more.. I don't have any interest in another keyboard.... Korg, Yamaha, even Ketron..

Fran......I don't know if you know this, but Youtube has a lot of really good Karaoke tunes. I just get them from there.

Mark yes I am aware you can find some karaoke on YouTube... problem is you have to deal with adds and dead space so you can't rely on it for live.. and you can not download the karaoke file..

I already have more than 100,000 karaoke files... the advantage of Karafun2... and the subscription... you don't need storage space as long as you have an internet connection..

Other benefits.. all 30,000 of Karafun's songs have a melody track that you can adjust volume to help you learn a song ..also background (vocal) track with separate volume control..

You can also link your computer library, but I find the Karafun library is all I need... and I have a very large library to start with..

The service price is worth it... Give up two cups of coffee at Starbucks. grin

So you can download, not just stream live, without a specific cost per file or package of files?

Fran....you're right.......I didn't think of those things. I got some great Karaoke songs off of Youtube, but I can't modify any of them. They have to "fit right into the slot" the way they are or they're useless.

I didn't know you were dealing with Karaoke files. You seem to know a lot of female singers. Have you ever thought about recording a female part to a duet like maybe the songs in West Side Story, making her voice into an mp3, and then triggering each female "vocal phrase" in between the male part? To sound like a duo. Did I say all that right?
