Zuki I have the much bigger & powerful MAUI 28 G2 Mix (2)
which I absolutely love .....
I mostly only use the Maui 5 at home which I really don't need
anymore with the GREAT Onboard Speakers on my new KORG PA1000.
The LD Maui 5 is an excellent system for the OMB, NH, jobs 25-100pp
and so easy to transport.

Hi ... I'm not really in the market currently for new PA, but curious about this larger Maui system ... how would you describe the 28 G2 vs. the smaller 5 (or 11) models? I know it's got to be more powerful, weighs somewhat more ... just curious for your observations / thoughts on how it performs for you vs. the smaller Maui's that you had used?

Jim you can't compare the Maui 28 G2 to Maui5 it is in another league. The sound, coverage and clarity is amazing especially when you push it for 200-400 people. I just love them.

I wonder if the Maui 11 is sort of in between - higher power/coverage/clarity than the Maui 5 but not at the level of the 28? Or if the 11 sounds a lot like the 5, just with more power? I guess these kinds of things, one has to hear "in person" (not easy to do; don't know anywhere I could compare the 3 Maui models) ...

I have the 11's and have done social clubs to small/ medium hotel ballrooms. Anything larger goes to ev sx300's, usually reserved for outdoors, with subs. Do most with 11's at 1/2 volume levels.Very versatile.
