If I were playing to larger venues, i'd have one. In spite of what some say, my SSV3 is great, and I don't need a sub.

Do you still use yours with kb and vocals?

Yes, I swap between it and the Bose Compact. The SSV3 is a must for dinners and organ, as it envelops the whole room in stereo sound. The Bose is used for more "in your face" dance stuff sometimes. I like the sound of keyboard and vocals better with the SSV3, as it delineates the separate components much better than the Bose, which is my old trusty work horse in general.

I don't want to start another feud, but I know that many who have not cared for the Spacestation judged the sound from their ears, with the unit too close to hear the true sound that the audience hears. The bass is a little weak for some music, however, without a sub. The big XT takes care of that, and more, but is around sixty lbs and twice as big.

Bernie, I agree to everything you said concerning the Spacestation though I don't want to be dogmatic when it comes to sounds. Such a subjective subject.

Have you read this article? A very interesting way of using the Spacestation http://chucksblog.typepad.com/late_bloomer/2017/02/dialing-in-the-cps-spacestation-v3.html

Thanks, very good article. I do use the same rack to lay my Spacestation sideways on. On hard floors, it helps radiating the sound equally. The eq dialing is something new. I must try it.

Currently, my two go to PA’s are my Bose S1 system and my JBL Eon One. I’m actually using my SSV.3 as a stereo system for my home entertainment system.

After reading this, my interest in using the SSV.3 with my Genos has grown. And I’m thinking I can get an excellent sound out of the SSV.3 using my Genos EQ/Compression system.

An additional thought...

I found both my PA4X and Genos to have outstanding final EQ systems...both capable of getting a very good sound out of about any PA I use.
