I bought one online. It worked great. I'll try to find the name of it. I'm sure I still have it but wouldn't use it unless I get a PA1000.

Could you kindly explain the procedure step by step in a simple way? And aren't these the kind of buttons that click instead of spring loaded like the ec5 is that a hinderance while you're playing?

This video explains it all
Why this Behringer device is all you need
And how to operate it.

Works with all keyboards.

Maybe this would work:

Zuki I wonder if this would work also?...does anyone know for sure?..how old is this pedal for korg? I certainly like the configuration and spacing of the buttons vs that monster Behringer pedal which to me is major FOOT CONFUSION, too heavy & overkill big time for my needs if at all.. confused1

PS: And WHY did KORG decide to eliminate the EC5 hookup from the new line of arrangers?

Bachus thanx for the video......Wow that pedal is a monster who the heck could navigate thru all those buttons with your toes without hitting and remembering what they all do,....not to mention carrying that beast around to gigs daily? Do they also make a one row model without the pedals too?..or? This seems more suited for a guitar player?

DNJ, the pedal I have wasn't hard to program, once you read the steps. It has been several years since I did it though, and I don't remember the steps. All I did was follow the owner's manual though.

out of all I've seen this one you have seems the simplest and with enough space for toes to press although it is
click on/off vs spring loaded etc,... thanx

There never was an EC5 jack on the 900, which was the predecessor to the 1000. Funny, my old i5s has one. (dinosaur, though it may be!)

Nobody likes to read manuals including me. Once I almost killed myself because I didn't read the manual. I am not going into the detail because it is embarrassing. The procedure was so simple (if you read the manual).

Anyway, you can do so much more with a MIDI foot controller. Fortunately, most of the Korg arrangers if not all can be controlled by just about all MIDI foot controllers. I noticed that my SD40 only uses SySex messages, and only a few high-end MIDI foot controllers can be programmed with SySex messages and send them out. These can be over $1,000. I have a Gordius Big Little Giant2, but it's kind of bulky. I was looking for a smaller one and found this
http://www.midiflorian.com/#service. It will work on Korg but not on Ketron as it doesn't send SysEx. The owner says he might support SysEx in the future.
