Cart suggestion

Cart suggestion - 05/23/18 10:32 AM

I use a very plain Rubbermaid cart with fixed wheels. The handle goes down and it lays flat in my car. Is there a better option that is portable And little hassle?

My 61 case is too wide and won't fit between the cart handles, creating a problem.

My Rock-N-Roller is fine for my 76 Pa4X as it opens out far enough so it lies between the handles.

Wonder if that cart would hold my Genos?,,,,
I've been thinking about getting a gig at the hospital for the criminally insane. With my lack of talent, skill, poor eyesight and arthritis that would be my gig if I paid them enough.
Best regards to you talented folks, charles

No gigging musician today should be without a Rock-n-Roller Multicart period...!

Plus 1. I finally removed the pneumatic wheels and put the solid rubber ones on. I got tired of having to put air in the pneumatic version. I should have replaced them a few years ago.

I bought the current model, which comes with the solid rubber wheels, for that very same reason.

Rock and Roller R10 with a modified top shelf that I designed several years ago.

Gary, that looks like more work than the actual job smile My 76 board bowed very bad from being on an x stand. Maybe the 61 length doesn't have that issue.

Bowed by a 76? I had my Pa1x on an x-stand for several years. Not even a suggestion of any bowing. What board were you using?

3X I currently have. Bows in the middle. Will never use an X stand again. It looks awful on stage, never can get it straight, even with a level on the stand. The Apex works great.

I could be from the way I rest my board on 2 speakers during transport over the years.

I have a 3x myself, a 61 though, so no bowing problems either on the x-stand. Have to say I'm surprised that your 3x-76 is doing that. Wow!

Jim, I suspect something other than the keyboard stand or cart caused that keyboard to bow. Probably excessive heat prior to transportation. The top shelf I was referring to on my Rock and Roller R-10 cart supported the entire length of the keyboard, so bowing is not remotely possible with that. As for my X-stand, in more than 3 decades of performing, never had a single arranger keyboard bow on me, and believe me, I have owned many, many keyboards.

Good luck,

Gary cool
