It certainly is a fine arranger KB but not for me..
76 keys & No Tilt display was a deal breaker..
I can wait..

I can say that as an owner of Genos its by far the best i have ever heared and during my 35 yeares of performing with so many keys including synths electro pianos and arrangeres of almost all the firms/ the Genos is the first one that make me sound like a pro and not a wedding player/

That is quite a statement, as I am sure you have been an able player for a long time. I am wondering if the navigation is as fast and easy as the Pa4x, which is my main board.

Very impressive KB, in the hands a a very competent player ...
With all demos such as this, I can't help but wonder how many in his audience are going to be playing the styles he demos at around 27:00 ... also, I don't know if it was the recording or what, but did the VH sound distorted at about 29, or was that intentional? ...

Bernie ... the ease of navigation is a relative thing and I think it depends on what board we are coming from and going to, but as you know, it does get easier in time, no matter what board we are using ...

Right you are Tony. I am fairly familiar with Yamaha PSR and Korg, but hear about too many button pushes necessary on the Genos. However, in thinking about it, it wouldn't pertain to Regs, which there are 10, and I put everything in Regs on both boards anyway.

I love this Genos setup
The Crumar sound is really a great addition to any setup
Even a Genos

Or this setup, sets you apart even more

Anyone ever played a Roli?
It feels very weird and organic

Bernie the navigation is different from pax4 which is to my taste easier than Genos , but since I am not performing any more, I don't care.

Thank you for the clarification David.

That was fun. Good player and what an instrument on top - wow, beautiful sounds. The Genos sure looks complicated to me smile

Re: And yet more GENOS.... - 05/15/18 06:46 AM

I hate to admit it, but the younger players were born with a computer based instrument in their hands and fast changes are second nature to them. It would be challenging , in my studio, to learn to get great sounds and styles to use on gigs, but I would have to have them saved in registrations. Oh well, I know it is just the call for something new and different when I still have things to learn on my other gear.

Pardon my venting.

I sense your interest peaking Zuki coffee ...perhaps you might give Genos a shot?
This would be EPIC!!! But for the NH circuit it's the "perfect" unit for sure! cool2

Hmmm ... I wonder ... Personally, for 1 hour NH gigs, I think something simpler, more basic would be 'perfect' ... JMHO ...

So many used Tyros for NHs.... Why not a step up to Genos? ..... Just as they use total Pa4x also...

As good as the Genos is with navigation and as much as I like mine, I give the edge to the PA4x for live play, but the difference is minor that an experienced player here would have no trouble using either.
