Not a great comparison, different type styles. Both good though. Not much of either here that I would use but I'm sure many would. It's really difficult to compare any two arrangers like that.
Nobody EVER demonstrates the Korg styles where the ending is too abrupt. That is probably my main criticism of Korg styles. Many of them just STOP, with not enough decay, like the ending should be a measure or two longer. You have to play around them, use a different ending or learn to cover them up. None of the other companies have styles that end like that.

Don.
What I found useful for the abrupt endings. When I press ending one, for instance, and it is a long ending I then press 3 while this is going on and it shortens it rather smoothly. I use this quit often as some endings are rather long.

You're not understanding what I'm saying. Yes there are 3 endings, and one is supposed to be short, and that's the one I nearly always use. On other arrangers, and MOST of the styles on the Korg, the endings have at least a LITTLE decay or sustain of the voices when the ending stops. On some of the Korg endings, it is if someone just pulled plug, not natural at all.
It seems they need to add another measure after the sounds stop to let them fade out or decay naturally.
When my friend Bill (Semilivemusic) played by 3x he liked most everything except he said those endings were a deal-breaker for him so he didn't get one. They are the same way on the 900 and 4X. Not all of them, but enough to be a small problem.

Correct, Don ... I will often just hold the last chord of the song while pressing the sustain pedal so there is some kind of decay ...

I do similar. Can't believe it doesn't bother more people. I mentioned it on the Korg forum and got nearly zero response, and those that did respond defended the brand and the model and questioned my intelligence! smile

I haven't said anything because, even though I don't like it, I figured it is just something I have to live with, or choose two or three. The trouble is, sometimes, they are too long. You can't have it all in this world, but I get more than I probably deserve anyway.

You could always record a new ending into a custom style also..
korg needs to fix this issue asap in future models....
