MP3 Backing Track Play Back

MP3 Backing Track Play Back - 03/20/18 07:08 AM

Hi guys,

I’ve decided to use some mp3 backing tracks for a upcoming gig. I’d like to play them back on my iPad. Can anyone recommend a good app for MP3 playback? What I’d like to be able to do is while playing one track, I’d like to be able to cue up the next track without any pauses or very little down time between songs. In other words, smooth segues are what I want. Any suggestions? Thanks!

None of the apps at this link is what Montunoman is looking for.

Montunoman, you might want to check into the following apps;

1. Anytune Pro +
More of a practice app but it can serve as a performing app. Slow down tempo, adjusting pitch(does an excellent job, repeating loops, setting marks, remote control by MIDI, Bluetooth keyboard, or foot pedals. I find many old audio files on Youtube are off pitch, and you can correct the pitch in this app. A free version to try out
You can make your own playlists.

2. Grinta
Mp3, MP3 with lyrics, MP3+G, and MIDI depending on the version you get. A free version to try out. I use the free version. This is an Italian company that makes serious backup music hardware.

3. Djay 2

Forescore
I might add that as you probably know yourself, you can associate an audio file with a PDF in Forescore so that while it displays the sheet music, it will also play the backup.

BackTrax in the App Store, great app use it every night and is exactly what you're looking for. Another one to try is Big Button Music Player

Hope that helps

Algoriddim DJ. Simple and works great with two decks . Can even put in jump marks to extend a song. Some other fun functions too. I''ve,been using it for a long time and will be using it this weekend I make my playlists in ITunes on my Mac and transfer to my IPads.

I recommend Anytune Pro+
It works with your existing iTunes playlists, and you can edit the playlist on the fly for each show. You can choose to play non stop, or stop after each track.
Shows lyrics, if needed, speed up, slow down, create loops ... change key - it's awesome.
