Don, If only Rory, Dexter Gordon, Oscar Peterson, Billy Higgins and Ray Brown could jam together, I'd sell my house to buy a ticket.

Anytime I play a restaurant or cocktail reception, etc. this song is part of my playlist ... I usually do it as a Latin and then go to a swing tempo ... sometimes I'll even throw in a vocal ...
Unfortunately, I don't ad lib the way these folks do ...

Tony, sorry about that, it's Ray Charles. I tried to find it for you on YouTube. It's on an old 33 album I have had since 1870 or so. It's with this tune check it out.

It's a great Album! Check this tune out too.

Unfortunately, Donny, with asbestosis induced Pulmonary Fibrosis you don't get well - just worse. There is no cure, no magic drug, and beyond age 70, under our current health guidelines, no lung transplant. Therefore, it's just drugs and booze until I take the dirt nap.

All the best,

Are you on Pirfenidon? My mother was diagnosed with non-idiopathic lung fribrosis first, that's why I informed myself about this new drug. Luckily, her type can be treated and controlled effectively by Cortison.

Re: Autumn Leaves Jazz - 03/25/18 06:11 PM

Crossover, unfortunately, pulmonary fibrosis induced by asbestosis does not respond this type of treatment. The drug you are referring to is primarily for the treatment of non-idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, which is usually the result of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, and other infectious processes. This can be controlled with steroids such as Prednisone and other similar drugs that keep the inflammation down, but have some nasty side effects, such as lowering the immune system by a significant degree. Unfortunately, this was the field of medicine I specialized in for many, many years and I am keenly aware of the outcome.

Thanks for your concerns,

Gary cool
