OT: PBS My Music DooWop Generations - 03/03/18 05:23 PM

Not a fan of fund raiser shows on PBS (though its when they show their best sometimes) but this got my attention 2 hours ago and I'm glued to it. Young singers and groups -20s/30s-singing fantastically. Band backed or acapella, they are as good as the originals. They are showcased singing with surviving members of original groups or on their own. So inspiring to see kids this age doing 50's music so sincerely and humbled in presence of original singers. Refreshing- I didn't know young kids were doing this..done as a result of a talent search by TJ Lubinsky in Asbury Park NJ

Yesterday was the premiere airing..it will be on again next week, and probably other dates in other areas. Check your local pbs schedule on their website. I caught it on pbs39 out of Allentown pa.
