Gary, I can't agree with you... Yamaha still suffers from that synthy vox sound.. and Korg isn't any better..

Listen to sample library of VSt's ..
Listen to Roland GS instruments like the G70, or BK9, EA7. (no fantom or XV sound engines.. they are like the Yamaha and Korg)

Listen to the Roland VP770...

They don't cover up the poor samples with a vox background..

Hey they work and will do the job , but to over praise them is just wrong..

Fran, I'm not overpraising them - I'm just expressing my honest opinion. You have yours, I have mine. In the grand scheme of things, no one give a $hit what either one of us think. wink

Merry Christmas old friend,

I've been waiting for many years for keyboards to sound like this. I guess I'm still waiting.

Wow, it took all this time to finally hear some of the Genos choir voices. Call me a choral freak. That’s one of the main reasons I bought the Tyros 5. I’m a fan of the Ray Conniff orchestra sound, with voices. It fits well with dining and cocktail party settings. In my arrangements, I try to blend in choral sounds with other instruments to simulate that style. Been considering adding the new Korg Pa 1000, since I’m impressed with Korg’s bass and drums. However, I don’t know if Korg uses any choral voices. Never heard any of them, except that high soprano sound with vibrato, which doesn’t fit what I do. They must keep any choral voices in hiding.

It is amazing what can be done with the right tools and creativity.

GJ, yes, I am, and I freely admit it. However, when I owned Roland 800, Korg M1, etc..., I loved them equally as much at the time for what they brought forth.

All the best,

Roland Choir voices are amazing that's a known fact ......
these shown in the OP are good but Roland sets the mark when it comes to Vocal voices on a keyboard.

I have the VP770 and love it. In addition to what you see in the videos, I also use it as a controller for my BK7m. On the VP770 though, you have to have the playing skills to get out of it what you heard in the videos. You don't, however, have to be a great singer, as it does a fantastic job of pitch correction. It also has a few nice internal voices as well as AUDIOKEY (which is fantastic).

I'm just teasing ... you always go sooooo far, and praise the one you have as the GREATEST, most AMAZING kb ever. I buy alot of stuff too, but I don't pretend to be over the top in love with each one, as if nothing else compares. You lost a little validation over the years by saying stuff like "last arranger" best arranger" "all I need" etc, etc, etc.... Just play 'em, and enjoy 'em without trying to sell yourself on how amazing they are. Each new one brings different and cool features. I just hate to see you trying so hard to convince yourself that you have the best fit. No such thing for you.
