On the horns of a dilemma ... - 11/29/17 10:59 AM

Started having a problem with my Podiums a couple of weeks ago, in that the audio would kick in and out ... so I took them to a local guy who has a great rep as a speaker maintenance and repair guy for some national groups ... just spoke to him and he told me he could not find a problem with the speakers, so perhaps the problem is with the KB output jacks ... I am about to run the KB over to him - fortunately he is only about 25 minutes away - and he says he would check it out before the weekend ... problem is, I am leaving for NJ on Sunday or Monday for 3 big gigs in 4 days with the guitar player down there ...
I have performed a Full Resource back up of the Pa900 ... when I get the KB back if there are any 'internal' problems - calling up songs, etc. all I should need to do is a Resource Restore, correct? ... I certainly don't think I want to do a Factory Restore, as I have added a lot of 'remixed' styles to Factory style locations.
Really keeping my fingers crossed on this one ... eek2

PS ... He has done a lot of work on KBs as well ...

Tony, did you try switching output cables? Sometimes they produce similar problem when they develop an intermittent break in the wire near the solder joints or crimps.

Good luck,

Gary cool

it would take some work but I could if I had to. But it also means not using the tablet and using the DigiTech VH and a mixer.

meanwhile start getting the KN6000 ready to play or just go with a laptop and mic as if it was a NH gig..as Gary would say
"gotta have backup" lol cool2

ps as an option could you run the pa900 output from the headphone jack as a workaround just for the gig?

Tony, good luck. If anyone will come thru for you it's Butch. About 8 years ago I had an used arranger keyboard screen that was damaged in shipment Butch had it fixed in a short amount of time his work was excellent.

That's why I've almost always had two of everything, even going back to my B3, Rhodes days. One for the gig and one for home. I may be obsessed but I had 3 G1000's at one point. When they'd pop up used for a great price I couldn't help myself. Got my moneys worth out of them and managed to sell them all.
I couldn't take the hassel of trying to get something fixed on a deadline. Back in NJ not too bad as a place called Triple SSS would put you in front of the line for an upcharge. Lots on NY heavyweights went there. Now here in SC I think I would have to ship my gear somewhere to be fixed. "How long did you say ? !! LOL

Tony I hope it works out for you.

I wasn't going to bring this back up until after Friday's (tomorrow) gig, but 2 gigs done in NJ and all systems are fine ... lots of compliments after yesterday's Christmas luncheon with about 125 - 150 in attendance ...
Tomorrow night is a township appreciation dinner at an upscale dining/catering facility ...
keys singer party
