I don't think so, Deane - there are a lot of pre orders out there, and a lot of interest in this particular arranger keyboard.

Spent a lot more time with it. For now I'll stay with my Yamaha CVP-609 for home playing and pa4x for live gigging. The Genos lacks just too many physical controllers on the board (for my needs).

Because it's very difficult to explain a whim using intelligent logic ;-).

Also, the Genos was hyped so much I thought maybe there's something on the screen UI that will make up for it, but it's not even a glossy screen where finger movements are smooth and fast.

I also wanted to see first hand what all the fuss was about. Glad I did. Not upset, just moving on.

why not just give it 3 or 4 months before buying anything new?
why be the guinea pig?......but thats the way the world turns I guess...

I wish him luck selling it but knowing what I know about prices he’ll have to have a customer with quite a few extra dollars laying around in the cookie jar.

If I were still working, I would buy one in a heartbeat - but instead, tomorrow, I am taking my grandson and an old friend sailing. Guess I'll just piss the money away on frivolous things such as fattening food and booze.

There will be lots of post hype reselling going on . It’s the the natural consequence of impulse purchases generally .

In general post hype reselling means you will loose a considerable chunck of money.

And, who's fault would that be? Yamaha's - I don't think so!

If I were to want to try a Genos, which I don't, I would either buy it with the right to return in 30 or 60 days, or buy it from Frank, and if I didn't like it, sell it to someone who doesn't know about Frank!
I think his Genos will sell easily though.
