Korg PA1000 - Anyone have yet? - 10/15/17 10:37 AM
Excited to get my 1000 soon. I hear it might be in next week, just when I'm Cincy performing - DARN. Have to wait another week.
If anyone has, can you share your experience with it?
Thanks

OK, sure will. I will be able to tell when they go through the QSCs live. That'll tell the story.

I have about a dozen of the PA1000 pre-sold, and each one of them is a different set-up. The stereo LD Maui set-up seems to be the most popular, easiest to setup, probably the best at taming problematic rooms...
Plus most of the time you are playing as background or at a reduced volume, conventional speakers usually need to be at a certain volume before they really start to put out their true potential.
the PA1000 speakers sound great, but not for the audience, as for using just 1 LD Maui mono, is ok, but the Korg sounds it's best in stereo, taking advantage of the stereo effects and samples

What I am probably the most curious when it comes about Pa1000 is the harmonizer. Is it the Pa900 one or Pa3x/4x one?
So Zuki, your test in this department will be greatly appreciated.

Someone told me it is a completeley new, different to both of the above. I am just curious. The Pa900's did not fit the bill. The 3x's certainly did.

If I had to bet on the harmonizer, I'd put my money on the one one from the 900. It only has 3 voices, so it's not the same as the 3x/4x.
Like the Rabbi said before the bris ... "Won't be long, now!"

(no, I'm not Jewish, but it's a cute joke)

Adimatis, or anyone else for that matter, in the video link you posted Tom of TC Helicon was using the MP75 mike which has the “hit” switch on it.
I have the same mic I use with my TC Helicon GTX Plus.
My question is.....does that mics switch work for any purpose on the Korg onboard harmonizer?
Thx,
Jim

I never tried it, but I don't think so. The TC units probably have a proprietary connection to the mic.

Good question, I have no idea. But would be nice to be able to add an extra "assignable" button when playing a Korg...
But Uncle Dave is probably right!

I can barely operate all the things I need to, without reaching for a 1/4" sized button on my mic!

I remember someone asked this about the 900 and the answer was no . It only works on stand alone unit.

Looks like PA1000 delay (again) My retailer sent this update:
"The vendor has not provided us with tracking info for those, so it does not look like it. Getting new ETA from vendor."
Sigh ...
