Unless I can get my hands on and demo an EA-7, I'd be interested in finding a good G-70 for under $1000. It would be my fourth, but this time certainly the last, I guarantee. It's the best arranger I have ever played.

Disclaimer-While I am a pro musician, I am not a pro keyboard player. If you are using it on jobs, I can't help but think that an EA-7 would be better than a G70 because of the smaller size and weight. It looks like the price would be about the same. The keys aren't great but no worse than your PSR-S950. Fran C. has both the EA-7 and G70 and speaks highly of the EA-7 for jobs. I have come to appreciate mine very much. I am using the Dynamix samples for drums and really like it.

Ask Fran (Or Diki on the Roland Forums) they should probably be able to explain int the smallest detail what the G70 and the EA-7 set appart...

For me the EA-7 wouldd never be an option, because i dont like the light keybed...
While the G70 has the best Fatar keybed available (pa4x and audya are in the same league)
