I did a simple Google search for top arranger keyboards and this is what turned up!! ...
Why is the Tyros 5 $1900.00 more then the KORG Pa4x?

Because enough ignorant people will buy them?
A lot of people don't realize you don't have to pay the advertised prices..
I would trade my PA4X for two T5s. Then I'd sell them both and buy another 4X!

Because the Tyros 5 is the more advanced keyboard. I also agree that it is silly to pay full advertised price. Whatever arranger works for you is the correct one, but always research and shop for the best price.

I had a Tyros 4...got a PA 4X. My Tyros 4 was not more advanced than my PA4X...more like the other way around.

I believe it's all marketing, whatever price the market will bear contributes to setting the price. I don't know of anyone who pays the advertised price, but not everyone knows Frank @ AudioWorksCt either.

marketing? I can understand, but and almost $2000.00 price difference has to be substantiated in any event,.....let's not get off track and get to to the decisive answer of what constituted that major difference in price between the two and lets also throw in the Ketron Sd7/9 too price wise....

PS: is the new GENOs going to be the first arranger to top $6000.00 next also are we headed back to wooden home organ prices soon!!

Buy at Franks and get the very BEST prices. The Tyros 5 is a superior keyboard and when the new one comes along it will make Korg the trailer. Yamaha gives better service than Korg and that
is worth a whole lot more. Lloyd

Besides myself,..I know many players who would not agree with you for many reasons....

I'm anxious to see just what the new generation of auto arranger keyboards has to offer. If the Yamaha "Genos" model materializes, what could they offer in improvements over the current generation? It would have to have some spectacular innovations to get people to upgrade from what they are currently already using. The current technology is dazzling as it is. What could they possibly add that would make a 6K expenditure justifiable?

I agree that Frank is great. However we have different opinions on which is the superior keyboard.
As far as service, Yamaha is very good, but I've been satisfied with Korg service the time or two I needed it. Korg is active on the Korg forum, and they periodically give us free updates, styles, sounds, etc.
The current update is HUGE, almost like getting a new arranger in some areas.
I also much prefer the size, weight, touch screen, Songbook and live operating features to anything Yamaha has.
Different needs will dictate different preferences for sure!
There are no bad choices. That is, if you have enough money. I bet that new Yammy will be pushing $6,000.!
And I'll also bet people will be lining up to buy it. Not me. I'm happy as a rabbit in a turnip patch!

Its a typical US thing overhere in wirope the actuall difference you pay is a few hubdred euro

I have allways believed its because Yamaha USA has a large influence on the Motif and small influence on Tyros and dont want to sell Tyrosses
