PA 4X freeze - 03/18/17 07:20 AM

Anyone ever had your PA 4X freeze up?

There's mumbling to this effect on the Korg site.

Only time was when it didn't like a third-party style. Just rebooted and deleted the style.

I am still running 1.2.0 with no problems. I wonder if later builds have anything to do with it.

Same as Don said, only with a third party style. Once deleted it never happened again.

Same as Don and Deane. It also happened with my Pa800.

John C.PS, I was told that the file is important and you wish to use it resave with the Pa4x.

I've also had this problem with either the Pa600 or the Pa900 ... I spoke with KORG USA and it was finally determined that the USB I was using had other than music files on it and that was causing the problem ... I removed all those files and the problem cleared ...

From the 2 people complaining about this ome has probably faulty hardware, the other one is trying to push the keyboard to its limits and over it...

No worries for people who just use it...

So far i havent had any problems, except a faulty entry in my songbook that i cant remove...

Hi !
Not the pa4x as, yet, but faulty style has frozen both the pa3x and the pa800.

The only hitch I've ever experienced is with the 'ensemble' function. For instance, an ensemble might read 'close' harmony on piano and all that is heard is solo piano.

Really no big deal.

This just goes to show you .... it can happen to any electronic musical instrument when pushed to the limits or with software glitches. After all, they are just computers these days :-(
