Harmony and Mic usage on the Korg Pa4X

So, I'm starting to use the Pa4X at my church services. I have been a contemporary worship leader since 2004. I use backing tracks that I create and I'm using the Pa4X to playback MP3s of the backing track during the service. Today I wanted to add some harmonies while playing piano live over the track and singing into the mic... I get reverb but no harmonies!!

In Song play mode, the chords show up in the top bar but the harmonies can not read the chords. I go to Style play mode and it works like a gem!

Am I missing a setting?!? Help!!!

It will read midi files if the harmony line is imbedded, but it can't read a harmony track from MP3. You will have to play the chords.

I am playing the chords live while the MP3 plays. It lets me use the mic to sing. I push the harmony button... no harmonies. I switch to style mode... harmonies change with my chords.

I'm not expecting the chords to change the harmonies automatically from the MP3. I want to play the chords with either a piano sound or all sounds muted. It works in style mode but not in Song mode. Am I missing something. Still running 1.2.1

you have to select The "trigger" for the harmonizer ... I forget where it was, but I think it was part of the vocal preset - look for "upper" or Right Hand" ... something like that

Upper right corner... Song Play Control!

It was set for midi and track 5.
I switched it to chord scan.

It works in Song Play!!!! Thank you for the direction!!

Glad you go it figured out. I misunderstood what you were trying to do!

No big deal! It can be hard to describe what we are trying to do! I value all the help and advice on this forum!
