I am both overwhelmed and overjoyed to receive these accolades from Nigel and my fellow Synthzone forum members. Many, many years ago, it was right here that I sought help from the membership in determining which direction to go when pursuing my musical entertainment career. I read every word, absorbed as much as possible, then went about to meet many of you in person to see first hand what could be accomplished. Had it not been for this forum, I would have not been successful in my musical entertainment endeavors. I am humbled by the above posts and promise to do my best in continuing to assist others in the future.
As I sit here with tears of joy streaming down my face, my heartfelt thanks goes out to everyone here for the years of enjoyment this forum has brought into my life.

A very special tribute to a very special person! Thank you Gary for all you have done for all the members of not only this forum but other forums to which you have contributed. I know from a personal point when I got my first Yamaha keyboard it was your advice and helpful posts that got me started in the right direction. Thank you again.

DITTO to all! I still have a stack full of 3.5" floppies filled with Gary's GigDisk files...(think it was PSR-1000 in those days)... Gary, I have sought and heeded your advice many times since I entered the arranger world - thanks so much for your constant willingness to share your knowledge and experience with arranger "newbies" and "oldbies" alike!
PS - thanks also for the opportunity to sample "Kickapoo Joy Juice"...

Just got the today's mail, and WOW! A beautiful plaque was there, that is portrayed in the initial post from Nigel. Thank you all so, so much for this tribute. I am very overwhelmed by everything at this time.
A special thanks to Captain Russ Lay, whom I believe may have coordinated much of this.

Russ and Don both deserve kudos for their work on organizing this tribute. You earned this award Gary for all your contributions to others on the forum for so many years and for being a great friend to us all. We all wanted you to have this award so you know what you mean to us.

Heartfelt well wishes from me as well Gary. I once commented while walking the London South Bank to the street artists overthere that they are "the salt of the earth " , I would include you with them my friend.
Re: A Tribute to Gary !!!!!!!!!! - 01/21/1704:42 PM
The idea, a few trips around town (and a few bucks) were mine, but the REAL essence of all this is THE MESSAGE...a heartfelt, honest and sincere expression of what many feel. Expressed as only my favorite "ole scribe" around here, Don Mason, could.
Nigel's eager participation and assistance in the middle of all the work he was doing on the site is proof of a man of real sincerity and substance; someone we ALL should be proud to be associated with. His personal note to you, included with the plaque was the work of a true renaissance man.

Thanks again everyone for those kind words. My hope is to get myself in much better physical condition so I can sail south again next fall and visit with many of you in person again, and meet with those that I have not met.

Thanks John, I really appreciate your comments above, and of course, those of the many others here. It has been a somewhat difficult day, blood pressure very low, and bit difficult to breathe, but with luck, I will be able to get out of the house tomorrow and go grocery shopping, which right now is a real challenge. When I get home, I think I'll sit down at the S-950 and make some music. Then, I have to con my wife into doing the income taxes this year - now that's gonna be a real challenge.
