I try to run SD40 with my Tyros5.
Midi conection work only in Acordion mode on SD40.All ather option SD40 ignord.
It's inpasable to modeling intro and ending parts of style.
Swiching betven some main section (A;B;C;D) sometimes work properly, sometimes change section who you dont chouce.Example:
you want to change main variation from D to A,but SD40 change to B or C...
Registration cant remember with wich Intro you want to run a Style.ETC...
In one word,I buy an instrument who I cant trust for 1.500,00 Euro. Dont make the same mistake like I do...

You know, they do this every time they introduce a new model. It generally takes close to a year for them to get it right. It's a shame, because there is so much to like about the sounds and features.

I played it from both a 2 manuall organ (roland) as well from a stagepiano... both modes worked well..

Are you sure you are using the latest software version?

Bachus,

here are not OS software update at all...( see Ketron official site)
Do you try to run SD40 in Standard Midi mode? That mode shuld be universal for all Master Midi kayboards. Not for Ketron...only Acordion Midi mode.
Do you try to modeling Styles? Haw about intro end ending parts?
Haw registration works? They store all current setings of board ?No they dont...
And general question:haw cen this unfinished instrument leave a factory and be sold on market? What Ketron do with my money and what I can do with hes instrument?Wait year's for update...?

Thanks for your response. I think I will wait and see before I get the SD40. I have a Ketron SD4. It is updated to the latest firmware but still I can't use its USB connection. Too many issues. I hear that the Ketron 1000 has a bug and because of it many owners can't power the unit from USB only. I remember one forum member say once that he likes the Italian design as long as it is not made in Italy.

I did play in Organ mode... worked perfectly well...

Also i played around with the styole modeling for atleast an hour, it was working just fine...

But then, i guess you have much more experience, so did you contact your sales representative? what did he say?

Anyway, its not that we arent used to this kind of support from Ketron, its so typicall ketron, and the reason you should never buy a brandew released Ketron instrument... as someone said allways wayt a year...

Just saying that i didnt encounter any problems at first... And with the lacks of software updates... its been extremely quiet at ketron since this summer...

I wouldnt be surprised if one of these days ketron followed in the footsteps of General Music... quietly going out of buiseness... in that case there is only one to blame, Ketron themselves... They have proven there is more to selling intrumetns then just being innovative..

I was a little suspicious of their unrealistically low price and the fact they do not actually have stock, so just went through checkout procedure and found that despite it stating only £1,307.61 included tax and delivery, the price stated is not including tax....this is added during checkout. The total is £1572.24 making it £73.24 more than Ketron UK. Not only misleading but I am fairly sure its illegal to do that.

As regards your issue Dusan, I have never hear of this before. Have you spoke with your supplier?
