TO MY LOUISIANA FRIEND - 03/08/16 04:56 PM

This is, believe it or not, a Bob Dylan song. Don Mason asked me to try this months ago. Today I finally got around to it. Tried it with just piano and again with electric piano, but I liked it best with the style and TremeloEP. The style is MODERN POP BALLAD and I play the electric piano as accompaniment to generate the chords in full keyboard mode. Recorded with and from my Yamaha PSR S750

Good job, Don. Good to know I'm not the only person that gets Dom Mason challenges. wink

Cheers,

I knew this song would suit you well Don! You did a great job on it, just as I expected! It was a hit for both Garth Brooks and Adele, and now you. smile
I first was impressed by it here at SZ a couple years ago when someone posted it. I don't remember who now, but it was a great version as well.

Don ... that was a real nice job ... the only thing that threw me a little was the placement of the 'break' ...

I don't think this is the version DonM was talking about, but here is MY version which I believe I posted a few years ago ... what I CAN'T believe is that the date on this file is February 2012

On this tune I used the bass inversion setting to get the declining bass line

It's interesting that the version of this song I like the least is Dylan's ... wink

Thanks for listening, Don, Donny, Gary and Tony. And thank you Colin for probably being the one who planted the "original seed".

Tony, 2012 is obviously pre Korg PA 900. Was that a Technics keyboard.

God Bless,
Don

Not sure, Don ... thinking Pa600 ?!? confused1

PS ... strange thing is I could not find anything else on it on the PC ... I usually use box or 4shared, but I couldn't find anything on either site ...
I was thinking perhaps the date was wrong somehow and then I remembered 'Soundcloud' and there it was, with that date ...
Thinking about it even more, it just might have been the KN6000 ...
