Two wireless mic' into one receiver then Arranger

Two wireless mic' into one receiver then Arranger - 02/19/16 03:07 PM

Bit cumbersome subject.

What I'm wondering is about plugging a wireless(Mic)receiver into an arranger via the Mic' channel. Then plugging two mic's into the receiver:

The end result would be:

Two wireless mic's to one receiver to a single mic input on the arranger.

The end result would be two mic's going through the arranger. Don't worry about vocal harmonies, they wouldn't be used with two mic's.

Thoughts?

I wouldn't do it.
I think 970s mic input is bad enough for one mic.I had it for a month to try it out. Returned it last week.
I mean not that you can't do it.Now you have two signals fighting for gain. What are you trying to do?

If you have a dual-receiver-in-one-box radio system where the receiver unit has a single jack 'mixed' output as well as the usual 2 xlrs - and I'm sure I've seen such things - you could be ok. If you are thinking of 2 wireless microphones using the same frequency with a single channel receiver this won't work.

Tx for the input all.

Using a small mixer eliminates multiple problems and offers multiple options. There are many good mixers with effects around the $100 - $200 range.
