Champagne Breakfast - 02/03/16 03:21 AM

I have been asked to do a champagne breakfast for a retirement village.
Have any of you played for a similar function, and if so, I would like some suggestions as to what type of music you would suggest as appropriate.....and how it would be applied.....slow start and build....slow and easy all through......mix it up....???? HELP !!!

Ray you already have your answers in your post. The best of all is to read your crowd; the same people a week later my want something different. Try what you feel will fit---and if it works you have it. If you get no response then change as soon as you can.

I have stopped a song in the middle because I felt it was going nowhere. I’m betting they were happy I did.

PS, Ray, let us know how the job was.

Ray, have you ever performed for this group in the past? If so, they hired you based upon what they heard, so whatever you did back then, will work just fine.

Good luck,

Thank you Professors! I have played for them before at dinner but the breakfast timing was my main concern.
All of your comments are appreciated and I am quite comfortable now with what I had in mind.

Thanks again
