Whatever happened to these features of the Roland G70?

They added some dynamics to the styles..
I allways tought these kind of features would be the future of Arrangers

As I recall I think the BK9 has one or both. Very useful features for sure.
R.I.P. Roland, I'm afraid.

Well there is a new management, which obviously aims to create instruments that are espescially fun to play... I dont see why there would not be a new arranger workstation at some time..

I hope so; they do a lot of things right.

I love my BK-9 including the Makeup Tools to edit rhythms and SMF files, but it has not the style part the G70 had, like Don said.

It takes a little time and work, but easy enough when you get into it. I think the BK-9 is a sleeper in that the marketing has been terrible(typically), and deserves much better.

Roland made a BIG mistake not resurrecting the G70 line...

If they would have added the whole integra soundset.. and a color touchscreen interface, they could have asked double the money and have a huge hit

I think the G70 is 10 years old, and is probably the only arranger still popular after all that time.

Yes... and thats for the 2nd time with this G line... it also happened after the G1000, when they moved away for a few years and then suddenly returned with a G70

So who knows, with the new management they might return..

Its funny, the same happens with the workstation market and the fantom G (2008), which still goes strong in many setups..

Now if Roland could combine Fantom and G-series with their latest technollogies they could have the ultimate workstation for everyone

But it seems that Roland prefers to spread all their awesome technollogy thin all over the place.. which is something they allways have done..
