New Ketron SD7 Case From Blue Heron

My custom made case made by Blue Heron arrived today. It has handles on both ends as well as the middle like most cases. This is my second case from Blue Heron, they also made my Tyros 4 case about 4 years ago. Oh yes, it weighs 3.6 pounds!! See attached Pics.

Yes, Donny. They are not cheap but the quality is superior. After 4 years, playing about 200 gigs a year, my Tyros 4 case still shows no signs of wear and tear. It is very easy to get in and out of the car and has never damaged the car's upholstery.

I'm working on my own design. It involves several Kroger bags and some styrofoam.

Nice soft case. The SD7 fits perfectly, as you don't want it to move around.

Watch your back as well when lifting. I think the SD7 came in a couple lbs more than your Tyros 4 or Tyros 5-61, probably because of the built in speaker system.

In this part of the world, we call that a Highlandtown Suitecase, same as a black plastic trashbag filled with clothes. The fan beneath my keyboard stand is called a Highlandtown Air Conditioner. Ya have to know Baltimore neighborhoods to know these things.

I don't understand why companies do not provide gig bags that fit their keyboards.

Don't go cheap. I'd go with Publix bags. I guess you could go with Whole Foods but no point in being extravagant.

You betcha - Whole Foods is giving away heavy duty canvas shopping bags up here - a couple of them sewn together and you have an incredible bag, with straps!

Gator is coming out with a new model....called the DNJ OSFA.....One Size Fits All.
