You don't know me , Revisited - 06/05/15 11:30 AM

Hi there,

I recorded this song a couple of months ago for my latest home made CD "Silver Moon ", which several of you have heard.( it's a free download).
My musical compadre Carlo whom I have never met in the flesh so far but with whom I collaborated in the making of the CD via the internet hit upon the idea to re-arrange this song by taking away the voice track of my original recording and with endless amount of editing and buckets full of patience, provided a total new soundtrack on his PA900.
I have included both versions in one track here on youtube, The first being my original on piano. Imagine peeling away the voice track from that recording and creating what follows !!
Kudos to Carlo I would say.

Thank you Don.

More musical wizardry from my friend Carlo as he embellished the new version even a bit more and on top of that added yet another version " sixties style ". I have uploaded all three on my BOX account for you to listen to or download. The first version being my original recording the second the jazzy one and the third the sixties version. If you listen carefully to my original recording with piano only, you will observe that due to the arpeggios and pauzes it is not fully 'rhytmic'.
All the more an achievement by Carlo to toggle off the voice track and provide two complete new arrangments on his PA900.

Nice Job John on this classic tune...... clap
very interesting how each arrangement is treated & it all works.
Thanx for sharing your work.

Ps: I'm still waiting for you to record "Needles & Pins" by the Searchers wink

thanks Donny and thanks too for the backing track to Needles and Pins. Past experience has shown however that the tonal range is beyond my vocal range. I might give it a go one more time but I think Sweets for my Sweets ( also by the Searchers ) is more up my alley-way.
Still looking forward to hear what others think of the rehashing of the subject of this thread.........
