Not only for singers...

But also for keyboardists in a live band.

My buddy tells me his friend, who sings in a punk rock/grunge band, really pisses off the bass player when he sneakily reaches over during a song, and gives one of the tuning pegs a good twist.

He says, when the bass player eventually notices it, he gets even madder when he won't tell him which peg he turned.

If the bass player can't figure out which string is out, it's time for a new bass player! :-)

That was point of the story with the word "eventually" being key.

I figure, with that kind of music, being out of tune might have even made him sound better...
