Lovely...

I compared it to your orriginal T4 video, and it seems your playerskills also improved, somehow you play with more ease now...

Organs however obviously are a strong point of T5..

Keep them coming Rico Tico...

Rico,
I am always amazed at your talent! And such a dynamic performance on tico tico. May I ask if your music ability is your full time job or is it just a "hobby"?

Very Nice job Rico great quality sound.....questions confused1

1- is this a SMF or Backing track, style?

2- how are you changing the sounds without hitting the buttons on deck,...pedals? or?

Re: Tico Tico Yamaha Tyros 5 By Rico - 10/15/14 10:24 AM

LoL DNJ,

Thats so cool you ask because this discusion has bin here 2.5 years ago also because they could not believe i did that smile
But its verry simple

If you wanna put this away like this you need to have a midi !

Because theres no style that can do that its possible but its not available atleast certainly not in this quality !

So yess i used midi and funny i saw ian saying somewhere this week
that some people that change keyboard keep doing the same thing and then dont change there styles or midi but i did because i want better results so i changed a lot of backing sounds
but people can compare it now so thats cool !

Now to go a little further you people know that from a midi you can make a style because a style is midi !
so if i could get someone to make that style the way i play it
it would be excactly the same only dif is i manipulate the bass and the fill ins thats all but it would stil be the same

so thats why i prefer it in midi because i can totaly focus on what i am playing without pushing those buttons, for me in songs like these thats distraction !

Now the hard part is but i trained a little in that because it looks easy but its realy a pain the you know what, it is the switching that i do with my feet you can clearly see that now
first i thought lets put it in text in screen so people can see
at those timestamps but i thought it was not adding to the graphics so i took it away and thought people wil see it smile
But ONE mistake with the feet and instead of 1 reg your are 2 regs further you need to time that verry precise otherwise you can start over again smile But just watch those changes then you wil see it thats also why the camera is closer so you can exctualy see it !!

And dont start about switching to fast because then you can also start over again because T4 and T5 that dsp Thingie pff
So you need to be so precise so the problem is more with timing in handling the Keyboard then the playing if you think about it its also distraction because those problems should not be there while you play smile

Sorry for my english but its television englisch heheheh

There you know what i did :)) Greetz Rico wave

Rico,
I love what you do as you put "feeling" into your music.
I have listened to your recording (and all the others) of
"The Second Waltz" and am learning it (I too play by ear.)
The main theme I have down pat but the bridge is so varied
that my 85 year old brain is having trouble memorizing it all.
I woulder if you could play that for me slowly so I can hear
it better. I know this is asking a lot but I do so love that
music. Thanks and Bless You. Lloyd

Rico,
Your talent is certainly a gift from God. I too play by ear and
I believe that when God gives you a gift for music, you should
share it with others.
The Tyros does make one play better as it makes you sound so good.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful music with all because it
inspires ! Best regards, Lloyd

Hi Lloyd,

My Friend thank you verry much for your kind words smile
The Tyros changed my playing because of the sounds !
Sorry Lloyd i can't help you with the song because i didnt play it but what you also can do is try to get a midi and then turn the tempo down !
Greetz Rico My friend i wish you a beautiful weekend wave
thank you verry much for taking the time and listen to my song
