Way to go, Fran ... and this is the type of audience that really appreciates our efforts ...

I'm sure they do, Donny, but I get the sense that these audiences appreciate more because they can't 'go' to hear music when they want ...

Tony I've always been from the school of thought as a pro musician for 45+ years,......I go into a gig no matter what the venue and give those People 150% of myself every single time, every single song!! It's like a restaurant, let's say
"Luigi's Italian restaurant" ...you go there eat dinner, ....the meatballs are fantastic!!!,.....you go home tell all your friends to go to "Luigi's" because the food is great!.....
every time you go to Luigis the food is GREAT!!.....BUT,....
If you go to Luigi's and sometimes it's great and then sometimes it sucks frown ,....you go home and either never go back plus tell your friends never to go back there to eat also, I hope you get my drift?.....Just like performing Music, it's a PEOPLE Business and has to be treated with respect at a 100%+ level EVERY SINGLE GIG, EVERY SINGLE TIME PEOPLE SEE YOU PLAY or Mention Your NAME!! Great Music and YOUR NAME HAVE TO BE SYNONYMOUS!!.... cool2

"hey who's playing there tonight? Tony Mads?....oh man, really?
common honey we gotta go, call Vinny & Helen too..
I love his music".... wink

Donny ... my comment had NOTHING to do with how much effort the performer puts into a gig ... anyone who doesn't give EVERYTHING regardless of who the audience is will not be performing for pay very long ...
I've had the 'thrill' of working to an empty room at times and played as if there was a SRO crowd ...

Maybe it's me, but I just get a different feeling or 'vibe' from audiences at a NH or assisted living place ... perhaps it is the intimacy of the room, whatever ...

BTW... you know Vinny and Helen TOO ?!? ... laugh2

Vinny, Helen and Donny went to different schools together. She rode her bike, Donny carried his lunch. wink
