OT, I suppose, but important to me

OT, I suppose, but important to me - 02/26/14 10:25 AM

It's hard to express my feelings about the support my SZ friends have given me during my recent physical problems. I've gotten so many phone calls, emails and posts from so many of you that it's hard to thank everyone one at a time, but it's very much like a family here.
As in any family, we have our spats and disagreements, but when it comes to something important, all that doesn't matter.
Good news is, it appears now that my heart is o.k. Still have to get a stress test though, and it won't surprise me if I have more blockage.
Had to change antibiotics for the staph infection but it continues to respond pretty well.
Anyway, thanks to you all for the concern, thoughts and prayers.
Other than my wife and sons and you guys, nobody else even knows I've been under the weather!
Now to dump 40 pounds. That's more than either my keyboard or PA system weighs!

Hey, what are friends for if not to be there when you need them. You're gonna do just fine.

Don,

Glad to hear your back up and going again.
Good luck with the stress test.
i had my stress test and a cath couple of months ago and was glad my by-passes were still good after 20 years - so hopefully yours are too.

Thanks guys. I will be surprised if I don't have some blockage somewhere. I'm getting out of breath too easily. Either way, I'm feeling much better than yesterday.

I just finished my prayer for you Don, and I am trusting God to undertake for your health. You don't know me, but I am a fan and am a Christian who knows God, and cares about my friends!

Col, Keith, George, Brian, Boo, Graham, and all the rest! Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers! Seems to be working so far. We'll know more after the stress test Monday, but I think and hope that the major problem was the medication.
It's now on my allergy list, along with Penicillin and Sulfa.
I'll be honest, I thought I was out of here Monday. I was never so glad to get to a hospital.
On another note, as some of you know I patrol once or twice a week for the Sheriff's Department as an auxiliary officer. I hadn't been in the ER for 10 minutes when the Sergeant and Captain over me were there. I think everyone in the ER thought I had committed a crime of some sort, but they had heard it on the radio and just came to see if I needed anything and to check on my condition. They stayed until it was apparent I wasn't going to die right away!
I'm ready to talk about music now, but once again, thanks to all the "family"!!
