In responce to Donny's Classic Country comment - 02/09/14 04:13 AM

My apologies to all you Country Guy's I just had to have a go, tears and all.

Col,

I must say, your voice, and therefore your music, sounds much more "natural", letting the listener hear "you" and not mainly effects.

You have great pitch, a pleasant sounding voice, and your word pronunciation is spot on...all important to a singer, especially in Country music, which depends so much on the lyrics and the message. I've always thought the definition of "Country music" as "three chords and the truth" was pretty accurate, and this song was written when Country was still "Country".

In any case, you certainly have no reason to disguise your voice with effects.

Great work on one of Country music's finest ballads.

Sure is Fran, does it sound OK to you?

Suits me just fine now I haven't got to move it, well, only on the odd occasion.

Thank you Donny and Ian, who said you can't teach an old dog new trick's, seriously much of the improvement is after getting a bashing from you guy's for which I am eternally grateful.

Hi, Col.

I can't disagree with the others. A beautiful job on a classic country tune. One straight out of my childhood, too. clap

Thanks for the music (and the memories),

Loved it Col. Great job. Was it too big ( over 6 MB ) to attach to this thread?

When I got home from last nights gig in a snow storm mad I realized that the mod in Col's song that I played around with previously should have been in the 3rd verse not 2nd...
so I corrected it here. headphone

sorry cool2

Hi Donny

That version sounds more natural than the first one, thank you.

Save's me doing a re-record. LOL

I'm just working on "You've got a Friend" from James Brown, sounds quite good so far.
