Nice video....I usually just do something like that using the MULTIPADS on my S950 and a comparable style. It's all good.

Thanks Dnj, but as far as I understand MULTiPAD on s950 are only one shot phrase playback, you cannot loop it or edit the loop or sync with style tempo.
Am I correct? sorry if I misunderstood...

The Yamaha multipads can be either a single hit or an endless loop. Sometimes, a simple style pattern and the right multipad makes for a great combination and it will follow all chord changes and play till you hit "stop". Works just like a loop.

Dave is absolutely right,

the Yamaha multipads are hard to beat.

Actually, only MIDI data can be looped. I think Phantom was referring to an AUDIO loop.

Although you can put .WAV audio up on the multipads, it is one shot only, AFAIK.

It is one of the things (along with a very limited selection of audio styles and no easy way to load new ones in quickly, or create your own) that make me think Yamaha rushed out the audio stuff for the PSR series. Without such simple ideas as letting the audio loop in sync with the arranger (which the Roland's do easily), the feature is little more than a gimmick.

This particular thing is crying out for an update by Yamaha. I know they HATE to do this, and prefer to make you buy a new PSR, but looping an audio clip is stupid easy code...

C'mon, Yamaha!
