Hard to tell with so little information...
You might want to record something from the E60's output into a blank MIDI track, and take a look at what channel is being sent, PC#'s etc., if any sys-ex is being sent. Check your channel filters, all the usual stuff.
Some of the VSTi's can be a bit picky about what channel they want to see, etc..

I'm Cubase, since the Atari days...
But I have been tempted from time to time. Just not looking forward to the formidable learning (and un-learning!) curve!

I tend to be Cubase only at home, Pro Tools is still somewhat clunky with its MIDI capabilities and displays, etc., and if I work with someone with Pro Tools, I just get them to send me a stem and then simply send them back stems of my parts.
ProTools is a VERY good audio DAW, but Cubase started as a MIDI app, then added audio. ProTools started as an audio DAW, then added MIDI!
But at $200, Logic doesn't seem too expensive to simply try for a while. But I'd have to update my entire OS, as I'm still on 10.6 Snow Leopard.
