Nigel ... any ideas ... obviously those of us who got the 'warning' trust S-Z enough to click on the "Ignore This Message' box ... are those of us who got the 'warning' all using Mozilla Firefox?
computer

Here is the message I got when I clicked on the S-Z bookmark:
Reported Attack Page!
This web page at www.synthzone.com has been reported as an attack page and has been blocked based on your security preferences.

Attack pages try to install programs that steal private information, use your computer to attack others, or damage your system. Some attack pages intentionally distribute harmful software, but many are compromised without the knowledge or permission of their owners.

It then has two boxes the say:

GET ME OUT OF HERE and WHY WAS THIS PAGE BLOCKED? and in the lower corner IGNORE THIS WARNING

Clicking on the 'Ignore etc.' brings me right to the forums ...

clicking on WHY WAS THIS PAGE BLOCKED brings up this:
Safe Browsing Advisory provided by Google

Over the past 90 days, synthzone.com did not appear to function as an intermediary for the infection of any sites.

Has this site hosted malware?

No, this site has not hosted malicious software over the past 90 days.

How did this happen?

In some cases, third parties can add malicious code to legitimate sites, which would cause us to show the warning message.

Next steps:

Return to the previous page.

When the forum page comes up there is a 'banner' that says
Reported Attack Site! and two boxes Get Me Out Of Here! and This isn't an attack site...
I am hesitant to click on the This isn't an attack site... for fear of what might happen ...

Re: ATTACK SITE ?!?!? - 10/01/12 11:18 PM

I don't know why you would be getting that. I haven't seen it with IE. Do you get the same message if you go to http://sonicstate.com ??? I ask that because we share the same ad server and a year or so back that had been hacked. But back then my virus software also kicked in and warned me.

OK I see SonicState's ad server sonicftp.com is listed. I will now turn off all ads on the forum so you don't need to worry and I will contact SonicState and let them know. But Mozilla will continue to give the warning until SonicState have resolved it but you can ignore it now ads aren't running.
