My wife and I volunteer at an assisted living center run by nuns. They took such great care of my mother in law so we are greatful. Most of the nuns are Columbian and many of the residents are Hispanic so they all really enjoy our music. Even though we don't get paid it is by far the most rewarding "gig" we do smile

Feliz dia de las madres!

11:00 to 4:00 at Ernest's. Huge turnout, great food, but glad to be back home.

That is fantastic that you provide your services like this. I am sure that you all really enjoy it. That is awesome. This is one of those times performing is more rewarding than getting paid.

Big lunch at an upscale assisted living center, lots of family members there, about 250 people in the audience, and they didn't want me to stop playing. I should have listened to them. When I finished, I changed clothes, went to my boat, mixed up a batch of epoxy paint, and about halfway through the job, the ladder went out from under me and I fell 5-feet to the gravel parking lot on my back. Old farts like me should hire young people to do this stuff, but I have trouble finding a youngster that wants to work. The pain is pretty intense right now, but at least I thing I didn't break anything--at least nothing important. wink

Just another fun day in Paradise,

GEEZ, Gary ... BE CAREFUL!!! ... I don't think you are too old to be doing this stuff, but you are right about not being able to find young people to do such work ...

Getting back to the subject, Lydia and I attended the graduation of a niece of ours at Rutgers University over the weekend ...
Saturday was for the individual schools' commencement, and Mother's Day was spent in their football stadium for the full commencement ... very inspiring ... and we were all very impressed with how the school handled the entire thing ...

Did 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the club I work. They fed about 600 people in that time.

Hope that included you, Russ.

Didn't do Mothers Day this year. Our daughter became a mother herself presenting us with our very first grandson. That's what you call upstaging any gig. Cheers!

Thanks, Russ and Tony. You should see this little guy's hands. Long fingers, span tenths no problem.
