Great news - Don Mason - 04/01/12 05:01 AM

I just got off the phone with my friend Don Mason. It seems that he was playing in Shreveport at Earnest's last night. After he finished a set and went on break two patrons approached him. They said they were listening and were impressed. They were producing a new television show for the Ophra Winfrey Network. It is going to be a senior (over 60) version of America's Got Talent. Don was asked to be one of the shows first competators. Good Luck Don, lay it on them. Let us know the dates of the shows so we can watch and vote.

Thanks for letting us know, Tom. No doubt, Mason will "do us proud" and end up as a "regular" at the Oprah network. Fantastic news about a fantastic performer.

Tom:

I bought your story hook, line and sinker. Good one. Sorry Don, I thought sure they'd sign you 'cause I asked them to drop by Ernest's and give a listen right after they signed me. So far, I'm the oldest geezer participant.

Just wait, Mr. Cavanaugh... we're lookin' at Hatfield and McCoy stuff here... LOL!
