Yamaha Debuts PSRA2000 Nov.12 in Los Angeles - 11/07/11 07:55 AM

I would like to extend an invitation to all in the Los Angeles area to be at Kaye's Music Scene on Saturday November 12 at 2:30 in the afternoon for the presentation of the new Yamaha PSRA2000 world keyboard. This event will be the official debut from Yamaha with several Yamaha Product Managers and Keyboard specialists on hand.
It will also be a good chance to see the new Yamaha PSR=S650 which just came on the market a few weeks ago.
I look forward to seeing my West Coast friends next Saturday if you are available.

George,

I'd love to be there but it is a long way from Michigan. Where does this new board fit in the lineup?

Yamaha PSR-A2000
Arabic/Oriental Arranger Keyboard features 61-note, touch sensitive keyboard, 565 voices and 357 accimpaniment styles, with Mega Voice and Guitar Enhancement technology pioneered in Yamaha's Tyros range. The voices features 43 Oriental sounds, and the accompaniments features 146 Arabic styles. Scale-tuning buttons are included on the front panel so as to cement the PSR-A2000's position as the perfect instrument for playing in both Oriental and Arabic styles. However, the PSR-A2000 is ideal for any style of playing, thanks to its wealth of high quality sounds and styles.

A Joystick controller is built-in, for pitch, modulation, and other performance controls, along with USB audio recording and playback. If the sounds and styles included don't suit your style of playing perfectly, the PSR-A2000 supports Yamaha's expandable FlashRom technology allowing users to tailor the sounds and styles as required, with additional expansion packs.

Now, if only Yamaha would come out with a PSRA2000 module for those that do not need a keyboard, that would be great! but it looks like only Ketron at the moment is the only one in the game.

Need Oriental Sounds and Styles so the Roland is out, Roland lost the ball in regards to arrangers, I guess it's not profitable for them to continue, although Roland products in my opinion were very good except for the outrageous prices.
