Looking for free web page software - 09/18/11 09:11 PM
I'm thinking about updating my website and am wondering if there are any easy to use (no html) programs out there worth trying out.
I would think there would be something at sourceforge.com but once I do a search there I usually can't understand the techie talk they use for descriptions.
I've been using Yahoo Site Builder but want to see what else is out there.

Scott,
You can try
http://www.hostbaby.com/ or
http://bandzoogle.com/ which I have had clients say are great websites making sites/tools. very easy to use. If you want a FLASH website (non Apple Browsers) try
www.wix.com for some pretty engaging websites.

I use webpage-maker. You can find a 15 days trial version, if you are up to learn and create something in two weeks.
www.webpage-maker.comHere's an example, something I've created, it's in romanian.

Scott,
When I created my first web site I used Front Page, which came with Office 2000. It was pretty easy to use and I created the first site within a few hours.
Since then I purchased Dream Weaver, which is a fantastic program that can do anything you wish. It's a bit more complex to use, but once mastered it really does a fantastic job. They have several packages starting at $119.
